Job summary

BB Nash in Nashville is seeking a Warehouse Associate to support daily warehouse operations, ensuring materials are received, stored, and moved safely and accurately to support production.

You will work with GMP and food safety standards, operate reach trucks and sit-down forklifts, and coordinate with the team to maintain inventory and on-time material flow.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Warehouse or manufacturing experience preferred (food industry a plus).
  • Forklift experience or willingness to be trained.
  • Ability to follow GMP and food safety requirements.
  • Basic math and communication skills.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, store, and stage raw materials and packaging supplies.
  • Move materials to and from production areas as needed.
  • Maintain accurate inventory and report discrepancies.
  • Follow FIFO (First In, First Out) and proper material storage requirements.
  • Assist with cycle counts and inventory checks.
  • Use the company ERP system to accurately complete material movements, inventory transactions, and other required warehouse activities.
  • Safely operate reach trucks and sit-down forklifts.
  • Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Verify shipments against required documentation.
  • Stage materials and finished goods for production or shipment.
  • Ensure production has the materials needed to maintain workflow.
  • Keep warehouse areas clean, safe, and organized.
  • Communicate material needs, shortages, priorities, and issues with the warehouse team.
  • Work independently while coordinating with team members throughout the shift.
  • Adjust priorities and assist with warehouse or production needs as required.
  • Follow all GMP, food safety, sanitation, and safety requirements.
  • Operate forklifts and material handling equipment safely.
  • Follow proper material handling and storage procedures.
  • Report safety, food safety, inventory, or equipment concerns promptly.

Role Summary

As a growing startup, our production needs can change quickly. Team members should be flexible, as scheduled work hours may change based on business needs, including overtime or occasional weekend work.

The Warehouse Associate is responsible for supporting daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and moving raw materials and finished goods. You will help ensure materials are handled safely, accurately, and in compliance with food safety and quality standards.

This role plays a key part in supporting production by ensuring materials are available, organized, and properly managed at all times.

Core Responsibilities
Material Handling & Inventory: Maintain accurate and organized inventory.

  • Ability to work in varying temperatures typical of a food manufacturing environment

Work Environment
  • Food manufacturing and warehouse environment with strict adherence to GMP and food safety standards

  • PPE required when entering production areas (hair nets, beard nets if applicable, gloves, etc.)

  • Exposure to production equipment, forklifts, and noise

  • Work may involve varying temperatures, including temperature-controlled or cold storage areas

  • Movement between office, production, and warehouse areas as needed

  • Adherence to food safety policies, including restrictions on jewelry, artificial nails, and similar items in production areas

  • Smoke‑free campus; no smoking permitted on company property
