Job summary

Cardinal Health in Birmingham, AL seeks a Warehouse Associate (1st shift) to support inbound/outbound activities. You will follow SOPs, pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment, and work with the Warehouse Management System to track products.

The role requires lifting up to 50 pounds, operating equipment, and maintaining a safe, compliant workplace. Training is provided; overtime may be required. Benefits include medical/dental/vision and 401k options.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent preferred.
• RF scanner and/or voice-picking experience highly preferred.
• Experience with material handling equipment is preferred.
• Good verbal and written communication skills preferred.
• Able to thrive in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

• Follow SOPs to process orders including picking, packing, loading, and preparing shipments.
• Cross-train in multiple areas of the warehouse and participate in projects.
• Utilize WMS to check in and out products.
• Operate material handling equipment as required (e.g., forklift, order picker, reach truck).
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment; follow OSHA and Cardinal Health policies.
