General Summary:
Performs various retail operations functions to ensure sales readiness and customer support at Southern States Cooperative, Inc. (SSC) locations. Job functions include receiving merchandise, maintaining inventory, stocking shelves, supporting merchandising, maintaining showroom appearance, filling customer orders, assisting with loading, and general facility maintenance. Operates forklifts and industrial equipment safely. Demonstrates excellent customer service skills.

Essential Job Functions:

1. Maintain communication with store leadership for daily assignments and critical operational updates.
2. Provide prompt customer support, assist with filling orders, lifting, loading, and verifying merchandise and invoices.
3. Receive and unload merchandise using appropriate equipment, inspect for damage, and report issues.
4. Move merchandise safely within the warehouse, store, and to customer locations, ensuring proper storage and organization.
5. Replenish showroom stock, organize shelves, and create merchandise displays based on diagrams.
6. Deliver bulk or packaged merchandise to customer locations using SSC vehicles.
7. Fill propane cylinders, operate related equipment safely, and comply with safety protocols.
8. Assist with physical inventory counts and monitor store security to prevent loss.
9. Inspect and report on industrial equipment, assist with maintenance as needed.
10. Perform housekeeping and general maintenance to keep areas safe and clean.
11. Operate all equipment and vehicles safely, adhering to safety standards and regulations.
12. Perform other assigned duties as needed.
