Job Overview
Our Warehouse team members are responsible for receiving materials in the warehouse, loading trucks, and processing inventory. This position serves as a key resource for inventory accuracy initiatives, including cycle counting activities, inventory investigations, and assisting with the planning and execution of annual physical inventories.
Responsibilities
- Must be able to continually lift 50-100 lbs. of material throughout the day. Some lifting over 100 lbs. will be required.
- Load trucks with material scheduled for the day’s deliveries, ensuring compliance with securing and distributing weight limits according to DOT regulations.
- Providing superior customer service.
- Double‑checking all loads for accuracy and ensuring they are thoroughly secured for delivery.
- Providing warehouse support including shipping and receiving.
- Pulling orders for walk‑in customers.
- Maintaining organized inventory locations and ensuring products are properly labelled and stored.
- Performing routine cycle counts and investigating inventory discrepancies to maintain accuracy.
- Assisting with inventory control processes, including stock verification, adjustments, and location audits.
- Co‑ordinating the company’s physical inventory counts, ensuring accurate documentation and reconciliation of inventory variances.
- Utilizing inventory management systems to record inventory movements and transactions.
- Partnering with warehouse leadership to identify and resolve inventory issues and improve inventory accuracy.
- Must have a clean driving record.
Qualifications
- High School degree or GED.
- Ability to stand, bend, twist, and work through a complete shift.
- Forklift experience desired.
- Ability to communicate with co‑workers, vendors, and customers (verbal and written).
- Positive attitude and team player.
- Adherence to all safety policies, including wearing a safety harness and other required equipment.
- Willingness to work Monday through Friday with opportunity for overtime during the busy season.
- Previous experience in inventory control, cycle counting, or inventory management preferred.
- Experience assisting with physical inventory counts and inventory reconciliation.
- Ability to analyse inventory discrepancies and perform basic inventory reporting.
- Experience using warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, or inventory software preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining inventory accuracy.
