Job Description

The Shipping & Receiving Associate assists with the shipment and receipt of all products, materials, and supplies.

Collaborates and communicates with the Warehouse Manager, customer service representatives, service providers, and others involved in shipments and receipts.

Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

1. Picking and packing orders: The associate picks and packs outgoing orders according to customer specifications and prepares them for shipment.
2. Inspecting goods: The associate inspects incoming goods for damages, defects, or other issues and reports discrepancies.
3. Documenting shipments: Responsible for creating and maintaining accurate records of all shipments.
4. Organizing and storing goods: Organizes incoming goods in the warehouse, ensuring accessibility and proper labeling.
5. Forklift certification: Required (will be provided if necessary).
6. Shipping orders: Arranges shipment, selects carriers, prepares documents, and ensures timely delivery.
7. Maintaining a clean work area: Keeps the shipping and receiving area organized and safe.
8. Following safety procedures: Uses PPE and follows safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• State motor vehicle operator’s permit for forklift operation highly preferred
• Previous forklift experience preferred
• Ability to accurately sort, count, and verify items
• Understanding of dock and warehouse procedures
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and inventory software

Additional Information:

• Must be a team player
• Able to traverse warehouse, access storage, and work primarily on your feet
• Able to lift at least 50 pounds regularly
• Capable of working in various weather conditions
