Job Summary

The Warehouse Associate supports warehouse operations, including receiving freight, checking for damages or shortages, distributing materials, filling special orders, and maintaining inventory. The role involves coordinating with departments, carriers, and vendors, and ensuring the warehouse and delivery vehicles are properly maintained and operated safely.

Responsibilities
Essential Functions
  1. Receive incoming freight and check for damages or shortages.
  2. Distribute materials to proper stock locations.
  3. Fill special orders and backorders upon receipt of materials.
  4. Follow up on discrepancies, damages, and shortages with relevant parties.
  5. Check and pack materials for delivery.
  6. Coordinate deliveries with trucks and carriers.
  7. Maintain shipping equipment and work area safety and cleanliness.
  8. Keep inventory locations organized and accurate.
  9. Manage and label batched materials properly.
  10. Maintain delivery vehicle condition, logs, and inspections.
  11. Operate equipment safely, complying with safety regulations.
  12. Support warehouse operations and communicate inventory issues.
Non-essential Functions
  1. Assist customer service functions such as order entry and returns.
  2. Deliver materials to customer sites as needed.
  3. Assist with loading/unloading trucks and report maintenance needs.
  4. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Preferred: Two years of work experience, including warehouse distribution and forklift operation.
  • Driving criteria: at least 21 years old, valid driver’s license, and possibly a medical certification.
  • Knowledge of Windows, Internet, email, and SAP is a plus.

  • Strong communication skills in English.
  • Effective planning and organizational skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to perform job duties accurately, efficiently, and safely.
