Job Title: Warehouse Associate


Location(s): Urbandale, IA




Job Purpose:


  • Under general supervision, receive and process incoming stock and materials, pick and fill orders from stock, pack and ship orders, or managing, organizing and retrieving stock and other related duties.

  • Organize and complete daily workflow goals and team project work.




Description % of Time Spent:


  • Create receipt record on purchase order/receiving systems and/or internal delivery/tracking system. Contact customers/vendors to correctly identify receivable items or track a package. 45%

  • Accept mail and materials for receipt into the company. Assist suppliers and carriers with unloading or loading of materials. Check for accurate quantity and any signs of visible damage. Document any concerns/discrepancies and communicate appropriately. 20%

  • Stage and/or deliver mail, supplies, material, etc. in the proper location for distribution, while maintaining a neat and orderly work area. 20%

  • Operate any and all equipment in a safe and professional manner. 5%

  • Provide input to leaders regarding process improvements to improve workflow 5% and efficiency, increasing the team's effectiveness.

  • Perform other job-related duties or special projects as required. 5%


Qualifications:


  • Provide prompt, courteous and excellent service at an acceptable cost to all customers; operate in an ethical manner in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations, the company's Corporate Code of Ethics, employee handbook, applicable compliance and operations policies and procedures, and other policies of the company. Possess a high degree of integrity and actively cooperate and interact with all entities of the Organization.

  • High school degree or equivalent required, plus some work experience preferred.

  • Must be able to maintain a high degree of confidentiality and accuracy and pay strict attention to detail.

  • Organizational, problem solving, oral and written communication skills required including following documented/oral procedures.

  • Must be able to life up to 70 lbs and work in a physical environment with exposure to heat/cold.

  • Must pass certification of all warehouse material handling equipment with the ability to function at heights of up to 22 feet.

  • Must be able to work well on your own and in a team environment and be able to prioritize work.

  • Work with outside vendors as needed.

  • Basic personal computer skills required.

  • Occasional overtime beyond 40-hours per week could be required.
