Job summary

Penn Veterinary Supply, Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Associate to pick orders, verify accuracy, and operate an RF scanner in our warehouse. The shift runs Monday–Friday, 3:30 PM–7:30 PM.

Requirements: 18+ years old with a high school diploma or GED; ability to read safety rules and packing/shipping instructions; perform basic math; stand/walk for long periods; and use an RF scanner and computer.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED.
• Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, customer orders, and packing/shipping instructions.
• Able to perform simple math operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
• Able to stand and walk for long periods of time.
• Able to use an RF scanner and computer.

Responsibilities

• Reads orders to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed and/or shipped.
• Moves materials from receiving or storage areas to shipping or other designated areas.
• Marks materials with identifying information using appropriate methods.
• Weighs and counts items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards.
• Prepares parcels for mailing.
• Maintains orderliness and cleanliness of the warehouse; practices safe work habits.
• Completes other related duties as assigned, customary to department and role.

ABOUT THE POSITION

The Warehouse Associate is responsible for picking orders, order verification, using RF scanner, and safely completing duties relating to materials handling. Candidates must be available to work a schedule from Monday - Friday, 3:30 PM - 7:30 PM.
