Job summary

Penn Veterinary Supply, Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Associate in Grand Rapids, MI to pick orders, verify accuracy, and move materials safely using an RF scanner.

The schedule requires availability Monday–Friday with the stated hours, and candidates must be 18+ with a high school diploma or GED, capable of basic math, and able to stand and walk for long periods while using RF scanning equipment and a computer.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED.
• Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, customer orders, and packing and shipping instructions.
• Able to accomplish simple math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
• Able to stand and walk for long periods of time.
• Able to use a RF scanner and computer.

Responsibilities

• Reads orders to determine items to be moved, gathered or distributed and/or shipped.
• Moves materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designed areas.
• Marks materials with identifying information using appropriate methods.
• Weighs and counts items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards.
• Prepares parcels for mailing.
• Maintains orderliness and cleanliness of the warehouse. Practices safe work habits.
• Completes other related duties as assigned, customary to department and role.

ABOUT THE POSITION

The Warehouse Associate is responsible for picking orders, order verification, using RF scanner, and safely completing duties relating to materials handling. Candidates must be available to work a schedule from Monday and Tuesday, 10:00am - 7:30pm and Wednesday and Thursday, 10:30am - 7:30pm and Friday, 10:30am - 6:30pm.
