Overview

Responsible for unloading freight from various trucking companies with or without manual or powered equipment at the assigned location at the direction of the Supervisor and Site Manager.

Responsibilities

• Unload and break down freight at an adequate pace.
• Possibly be trained to operate a forklift or electric pallet jack.
• Perform other job duties as assigned.

Physical Demands

The physical demands for this position include regular use of hands, fingers, or arms; reaching and turning; speaking and hearing. Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Occasionally required to sit, climb, or balance. Must regularly lift and move up to 50 pounds, frequently lifting and moving 50 to 75 pounds. Requires close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth vision and the ability to adjust focus. Warehouse experience is a plus.

Education, Training, and Experience

Any combination of education and experience that demonstrates the knowledge and ability to perform the work. Willingness and ability to perform manual work following verbal and written instructions. Prior experience operating a forklift or pallet jack is a plus; not required. The organization will train and certify associates for use of such equipment.

Qualifications

• Ability to move 50–75 pounds continuously.
• Pass a pre‑employment drug screen and criminal background check.
• Warehouse experience a plus.
• Experience operating a forklift or electric pallet jack preferred.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding warehouse environment continuously lifting and moving up to 75 lbs.
• Ability to meet fast‑paced productivity goals and standards.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to work overtime, including weekends and holidays, without advanced notice.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.
