Job summary

Merit Logistics is seeking a warehouse associate to unload freight, assist with loading and unloading, and maintain safe work areas at our Grand Prairie location. Training may be provided for forklift or electric pallet jack operation. Candidates should be able to follow instructions and work in a fast-paced environment.

Applicants should have the stamina to lift 50–75 lbs, pass a pre-employment screen, and be available for flexible hours, including weekends and overtime if needed.

Overview

Responsible for unloading freight from the various trucking companies with or without manual or powered equipment at the assigned location at the direction of the Supervisor and Site Manager.

Responsibilities

• Unload and break down freight at an adequate pace.
• Potentially be trained to operate forklift or electric pallet jack.
• Assist with loading/unloading with manual or powered equipment as required.
• Maintain a safe work environment and follow all safety procedures.
• Meet fast‑paced productivity goals and standards.

Physical Demands

The job requires regular use of hands, reach, and arms; continuous lifting and moving of 50‑75 lbs. It involves standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, occasional sitting, climbing, or balancing. The employee must meet hearing and vision requirements for safety and communication, and reliable transportation to and from work.
