Overview
Performs a wide variety of materials and equipment movement, receiving, and driving duties in support of the warehouse.

Qualifications
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience in a healthcare distribution center is highly preferred.
Licensure/Certification/Registry:
- Must be OSHA-certified forklift operator. Department will provide on-site training to meet this requirement.
Experience:
- Experience in operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts, trucks, and pallet jacks safely. Ability to work at heights up to 25’ is required.
Other Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Basic math and computer skills, including data entry and report reading.
- Ability to multi-task and work flexibly across shipping/receiving, driving, and warehouse duties.
- Must possess a valid Class C Illinois Driver's License or obtain one within 90 days. Must pass MHS Fleet Safety Policy requirements, including a five-year Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).
- Must pass Illinois Department of Transportation physical exam.
- Ability to lift up to 100 pounds, stand for long periods, and tolerate close eye work.
Responsibilities
- Load and unload stock and freight, document receipts, and verify shipment accuracy.
- Input shipment data into electronic systems and generate reports as needed.
- Handle special requests for furniture and equipment, determining safe handling procedures.
- Record serial numbers, repair info, and asset tags in databases.
- Respond to inquiries about shipments and deliveries.
- Prepare items for shipment, including wrapping and boxing, and move items into shipment positions.
- Deliver and pick up furniture, equipment, and other items within the facility.
- Transport bio-hazardous materials following safety guidelines.
- Handle storage and transportation of pharmaceutical medications within safety protocols.
- Maintain and monitor condition of vehicles and equipment; perform minor maintenance as needed.
- Receive, verify, and stock received goods; rotate stock regularly.
- Maintain storage areas and report unusual activity to management.
- Assist in cross-training staff and serve as backup in other warehouse areas.
- Respond to callback requests outside regular hours as needed.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
