Job summary

Puget Sound Pipe and Supply is hiring for a warehouse position at our Seattle, WA location. You will work onsite, lift up to 90 pounds, and help pull, inspect, and prepare customer orders with a team-focused approach.

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse experience is required or preferred.
• Basic understanding of commercial pipe, valves and fittings.
• Proficient with Word, Excel and Outlook for documentation.
• Positive attitude and ability to multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Safely pull customer orders throughout the day and document steps.
• Ensure quality checks on incoming/outgoing materials.
• Inspect items for quality and any damage.
• Operate forklift to move material to staging areas.
• Wrap, box and palletize stock or orders.
• Label and file paperwork with shipments.
• Keep area clean and organized; sweep floors.
• Occasionally drive to local customers.
• Collaborate with warehouse team to meet deadlines.

Puget Sound Pipe is a premier wholesale distributor of pipe, valves and fittings in the Pacific Northwest & Alaska. We are currently looking for an exceptional individual to work in the warehouse at our Seattle, WA location.

Hired candidates will be working onsite at the branch location. There is no relocation assistance available.

$22.00-$24.00 per hour to start depending on experience, plus great benefits. Hiring immediately!

Basic Duties:

• Safely pull customer orders throughout the day while documenting each step
• Ensure that a quality check is performed on all incoming and outgoing material
• Inspect items for quality and quantity and for any evidence of damage
• Use a forklift to transport material from its storage location to the staging area
• Wrap, box and palletize material for stock or customer orders
• Place destination information on packed material and appropriate paperwork
• Properly document your actions on sales orders, purchase orders and transfers
• Maintain a clean working area by organizing material on shelves and keeping floors swept
• Occasional driving for deliveries to local customers
• Work cooperatively with warehouse staff to ensure that delivery deadlines are met
• Comfortably lifting up to 90 pounds of material into a cart or onto a pallet
• Work outside in all types of weather conditions

Desired Experience/Skills:

• Previous job experience working within a warehouse
• Basic understanding of commercial and industrial pipe, valves and fittings
• Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and Outlook
• Positive Attitude
• Ability to multi-task
