Responsibilities:
- Create a best-in-class customer experience for every customer, every time.
- Obtain and maintain comprehensive knowledge of our products, including dimensions, weight, assembly, and materials, while handling merchandise.
- Transport, locate, load, and unload merchandise safely within the warehouse and into customers’ vehicles, including heavy and oddly shaped items.
- Use a computer terminal to look up customer and merchandise information accurately.
- Match products to invoices, packing slips, or bills of lading, ensuring orders are paid in full.
- Handle and assemble merchandise carefully to prevent damage.
- Assist with showroom changes, tagging merchandise, and maintaining displays and a clean showroom/backroom.
- Maintain cleanliness and proper maintenance of the workspace and equipment.
- Follow all safety procedures and observe safe lifting methods.
- Occasionally travel to customer locations for delivery, assembly, or repairs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Excellent customer service, teamwork, and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and reliability.
- Ability to read and understand work orders and shipping/receiving paperwork.
- Ability to lift at least 75 lbs unassisted regularly.
- Obtain and maintain forklift certification if necessary.
- Experience with equipment such as pallet jacks, hand tools, and small power tools.
- Basic math, computer, and POS skills with high accuracy.
- Valid driver’s license, 18+ years old.
- Pre-employment screening including drug, physical, and background checks.
- Ability to stand, lift, bend, and twist continuously.
- Comfortable working at heights up to 25 feet.
Working Conditions:
- Reading and understanding assembly, shipping, and receiving instructions.
- Standing, walking, pushing, pulling, bending, and stooping regularly.
- Exposure to weather, noise, and machinery.
- Some office work involving computers and phones.
- Availability to work weekends and holidays with flexibility.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent, with 1-3 years of relevant work experience preferred.
