Job summary

Dream Electronic Recycling is seeking a hands-on associate for a fast-paced electronic recycling operation. This on-site role requires physical activity, with frequent lifting and standing, to process, weigh and inventory incoming electronics and assist customers at the drop-off location.

Responsibilities include answering questions about items, services, and fees, handling payments via the POS system, and maintaining safety and accuracy amid changing priorities in a high-volume environment.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail in counting, weighing, labeling and inventorying materials.
• Ability to follow instructions and adapt when priorities change.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-moving environment.
• Warehouse/recycling/shipping/receiving experience preferred but not required.

Position Summary

This is a hands-on, physically demanding position in a fast-paced electronic recycling operation. Work priorities may change throughout the day based on incoming electronics, scheduled pickups, available storage space, and operational needs.

The associate regularly moves between receiving, filtering, and staging electronics at our drop-off location. This position is not primarily seated or performed in a climate-controlled office.

Essential Job Functions

• Receive incoming electronics from customers dropping off and assist customers with unloading and directing electronic recycling materials.
• Answer customer questions regarding accepted items, recycling services, and applicable fees.
• Process payments accurately for items that require recycling or disposal fees using the company's point-of-sale system.
• Regularly lift, carry, push, pull, and reposition items weighing up to 50 pounds. Use team lifting or approved equipment for heavier or oversized items.
• Stand and walk for most of the workday
• Frequently bend, stoop, squat, reach, twist, grip, and perform repetitive physical movements.
• Quickly transition between assignments as incoming material and operational priorities change.
• Maintain productivity, accuracy, and safe work practices in a high-volume environment.
• Communicate clearly with supervisors and coworkers and promptly report damaged, unidentified, or potentially hazardous materials.
