Job summary

Dream Electronic Recycling is seeking a hands-on associate for a fast-paced electronic recycling operation. This on-site role requires physical activity, with frequent lifting and standing, to process, weigh and inventory incoming electronics and assist customers at the drop-off location.

Responsibilities include answering questions about items, services, and fees, handling payments via the POS system, and maintaining safety and accuracy amid changing priorities in a high-volume environment.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail in counting, weighing, labeling and inventorying materials.
• Ability to follow instructions and adapt when priorities change.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-moving environment.
• Warehouse/recycling/shipping/receiving experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Receive incoming electronics from customers and assist with unloading and directing recycling materials.
• Answer customer questions regarding accepted items, services, and fees.
• Process payments accurately for items requiring recycling or disposal fees using the POS system.
• Lift, carry, push, pull, and reposition items up to 50 pounds; use team lifting or equipment for heavier items.
• Stand and walk for most of the workday; frequent bending and repetitive movements.
• Transition between assignments as priorities change and maintain safety and productivity.
