Job Description

  1. Perform a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor in highway construction projects; perform manual work in preparing equipment or vehicles for use
  2. Make deliveries as needed
  3. Stage appropriate equipment with product and backup supply
  4. Conduct preventative maintenance as recommended on all equipment
  5. Maintain a clean job site: pick up all tools and equipment and secure job site each day in order to eliminate potential hazards
  6. Material handling and storage
  7. Support the daily maintenance of all vehicles (filled with fuel, fluids inspected and topped, appropriate tire pressure)
  8. Load and unload trucks and haul and hoist materials
  9. Material Delivery to Jobsites
  10. Ensure that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed. Bring problems to the attention of the Supervisor/Foreman, Safety Director or Branch Manager

Qualifications

  1. 1-2 years of warehouse experience preferred
  2. Being able to continuously lift up to 50lbs required
  3. Valid Drivers License required
  4. Being able to stand/walk on your feet for a prolonged period of time required
  5. Some knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials and supplies used in heavy/highway construction work
  6. Forklift Certified preferred, but not required
  7. Experience with pickup truck towing trailers preferred
  8. Some knowledge of first aid and applicable safety precautions
  9. Ability to follow multiple instructions
  10. Organized and self-motivated
  11. Making road signs from time to time, computer experience will be helpful

The hiring range for this position is $20-23 per hour. The base pay offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
