Job summary

Odyssey Logistics is seeking a Warehouse Operator I in Pearl City, Hawaii. This full-time role involves safely handling movement, storage, loading, unloading, and staging of freight within the warehouse, ensuring inventory accuracy and timely shipment processing.

You'll operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment, verify shipments against manifests, and maintain a clean, safe work environment. The position offers salary between $21 and $25 per hour, with full benefits and overtime as

Qualifications

The Role

Work Model: Onsite

Work Schedule: Full-Time (40+ hours per week, overtime as required) 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Reports to: Warehouse Supervisor or Warehouse Manager

Summary / Primary Role

The Warehouse Operator I is responsible for safely handling the movement, storage, loading, unloading, and staging of freight within the warehouse. This role ensures inventory accuracy, proper documentation, and timely shipment processing while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-conscious, detail-oriented, and enjoys working in a fast-paced logistics environment.

What You'll Do

We are looking for a motivated warehouse professional who enjoys hands‑on work and takes pride in accuracy, teamwork, and safety. You'll play a key role in supporting daily warehouse operations and ensuring freight is processed efficiently.

Freight Handling & Warehouse Operations

Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other material handling equipment safely.

Load, unload, stack, stage, and organize freight for shipment and storage.

Verify shipment quantities using manifests, bills of lading, and customer orders.

Inspect incoming and outgoing freight for damage, shortages, or discrepancies.

Label, sort, and stage freight accurately for delivery.

Inventory & Documentation

Maintain accurate inventory records through routine counts and audits.

Complete shipping documentation, manifests, and inventory records accurately.

Research missing freight and report discrepancies with detailed documentation and photographs when necessary.

Conduct daily yard checks and maintain trailer inventory.

Safety & Equipment

Perform daily forklift pre-trip and post-trip inspections.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse.

Follow all OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and Hazardous Material procedures.

Assist with pre-loading delivery vehicles to support efficient dispatch operations.

What You Bring

High School Diploma or GED required.

At least six months of warehouse, logistics, shipping/receiving, or material handling experience.

Forklift experience required; current forklift certification preferred.

Hazardous Materials certification preferred (or ability to obtain).

Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs.

Strong attention to detail with experience reading manifests, bills of lading, and shipping documents.

Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers, supervisors, and customers.

Basic math skills and inventory accuracy.

Strong work ethic, reliability, punctuality, and commitment to workplace safety.

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Base Pay Range: $ 21.00 - $25.00

As required by applicable Hawaii Pay Transparency laws, Odyssey provides a range of minimum compensation for this role. Actual compensation will depend on relevant experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other business-related factors.
