Brief Description

This position is responsible for weighing and packaging materials in the production department, loading and unloading trucks, labeling stock and non-stock materials, processing inbound and outbound freight bills, and completing tasks related to Shipping and Receiving.

Responsibilities

• Document and record incoming raw material information.
• Load, unload, and pick materials as needed.
• Operate heavy motorized material handling equipment.
• Move materials to and from storage facilities.
• Examine materials for damage.
• Store and stack items according to established rules.
• Count and organize inventory.
• Assemble, prepare, and check merchandise for loading.
• Ensure shipments are properly labeled and packed.
• Obtain necessary documentation for each order.
• Ensure correct ingredients are delivered to the work area.
• Mix and weigh ingredients to meet orders and specifications.
• Set up and operate weighing and packaging machinery, adhering to safety procedures.
• Monitor machinery for issues.
• Supply production with materials and maintain equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Skills and Abilities

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment following standardized procedures safely.
• Ability to read and follow manuals and procedures.
• Basic computer skills.
• Maintain a clean and safe workspace.
• Positive attitude and dependability with excellent attendance.
• Willingness to work overtime, including every other weekend.
• Ability to pass forklift and respirator fit tests.
• Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking).

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Manufacturing experience preferred.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

Regularly: stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, handle objects, communicate, use safety equipment, exposure to moving parts.

Frequently: lift/move up to 60 lbs, work in extreme conditions.

Occasionally: sit, handle heavier objects, exposure to high noise levels.

Other

Vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
