Job Details
- Shipping and Receiving: Unload and load trailers, verify proper stacking and freight not being mixed on pallets, one item to a pallet unless instructed otherwise. Tape or stretch-wrap pallets as required for product stability.
- Checking: Count all product prior to storage, compare counts to the driver’s manifest, check for damage, infestation, and production code dates. Report shortages, damages, and misplacements. Move, stack, and store products appropriately. Verify receipt at proper temperature.
- Over, Short, and Damage: Identify and recover damaged goods, report shortages and overages to supervisor.
- Inventory: Assist with physical inventories using scanners, ensure proper stock rotation by lot number.
- Order Picking: Pull and prepare products for shipment, ensuring accuracy in quantity and type, from correct locations and lot numbers. Handle pallets up to 7 feet high efficiently.
- Loading: Move products into railcars or trailers efficiently.
- Equipment: Operate forklifts, clamp trucks, slip-sheets, and other machinery safely. Maintain equipment and facilities in order, perform daily inspections, report issues.
What We Are Looking For
Education
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
Experience
Previous high reach forklift and warehouse training preferred
Other Abilities
- Bend and lift up to 50 lbs regularly; lift up to 70 lbs with assistance occasionally.
- Stand and walk for extended periods.
- Handle objects, tools, controls; communicate effectively; use scanners, tablets, radios, and machinery.
- Work in temperatures from +34 to -10 degrees F, moderate noise environment.
- Work overtime as needed; operate a vehicle; have acceptable vision.
- Work independently and in team, manage stress, follow instructions and policies.
Standard Expectations
- Maintain professionalism; participate in meetings and safety trainings; follow security and safety procedures.
- Identify, record, and resolve issues related to product and process quality.
