Job Description

Are you detail-oriented and thrive in a fast-paced environment? Do you enjoy working as part of a team to ensure efficient operations? Join us as a Warehouse Associate and play a key role in assisting our organization's mission to serve our neighbors facing hunger.

As a Warehouse Associate, you will perform tasks such as receiving, storing, and distributing goods, maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring the cleanliness and organization of the warehouse. You will collaborate with team members to fulfill orders, prepare shipments, and manage inventory while maintaining a safe work environment by following safety protocols.

A Day in the Life

1. Order Selection: Pull, pick, and stage products for agency orders using a voice picking system. Meet the standard of 200 cases per hour with 99.8% accuracy.
2. Warehouse Organization and Equipment: Maintain daily organization and cleanliness of the warehouse and equipment. Perform pre-shift safety checks.
3. Forklift Operation: Operate forklifts and other equipment to move pallets and navigate tight spaces. Assist with receiving shipments and other forklift duties.
4. Pallet Put-away: Accurately place and scan pallets, store them in correct locations, including coolers and freezers.
5. Pallet Drops: Use the Warehouse Management System to scan and move pallets to designated locations.
6. Safety: Prioritize safety in all tasks, remaining alert and following safety protocols.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 1 year of warehouse experience
• Background check and drug screening clearance
• Physical ability to perform job duties

Preferred Qualifications

• Forklift certification

Work Environment & Physical Demands

Exposure to extreme weather, noise, chemicals, and other hazards typical of industrial settings. May require travel, overtime, and weekend hours. Physical tasks include moving heavy objects, climbing, balancing, and wearing PPE.
