Job Summary

The Warehouse Associate strives to exceed customer expectations by ensuring orders are available, accurate, salable, and received in a timely manner. This position demonstrates order fulfillment tasks are conducted accurately, efficiently, and safely, surpassing customer expectations.

Essential Functions

To perform this job successfully, an employee must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation. To request a reasonable accommodation, notify Human Resources or the manager overseeing the position.

Order Filling
  • Picks product from fulfillment center stock according to wave pick list and organizes on cart;
  • Pulls warehouse items from shelves based on number, size, color, quantity, and quality requirements;
  • May operate scanners to ensure proper order picking and accurate inventory management;
Order Checking
  • Verifies that picked items match the invoice details (manufacturer name, item number, description);
  • Checks that item quantities match invoice;
  • For time-sensitive items, verifies expiration dates are acceptable for shipment;
  • Ensures all invoice items are picked, including components for items like pumps;
Packing
  • Counts and verifies item quantities against the invoice;
  • Matches shipping labels with invoice information;
  • Selects appropriate packaging, fills, and labels items;
  • Follows regulatory guidelines, especially for hazardous materials;
  • Prepares shipping documents for hazardous materials if necessary;
Manifests
  • Weighs packages, determines transportation method, verifies labeling, scans info, and applies shipping labels for non-auto-manifested packages;
  • Verifies and corrects non-conforming auto-manifested packages;
Expeditor
  • Processes orders requiring special handling as needed;
Order Processing
  • Fulfills client orders to ensure customer satisfaction;
Additional Functions
  • Adheres to Patterson Companies' ethics and conduct policies;
  • Aligns with company purpose, vision, and values;
  • Uses warehouse equipment safely and effectively;
  • Meets performance metrics and KPIs;
  • Maintains a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment;
  • Handles hazardous materials per laws and procedures;
  • Follows safety guidelines and regulations;
  • Performs other assigned duties;
Required Qualifications

Working Conditions
Material and Equipment Used
  • Warehouse and office equipment, MS Office, shipping, and inventory management software;
  • Ability to operate forklifts and similar equipment, if trained and certified;
Physical Activities and Demands
  • Moving approximately 75% of the time;
  • Frequent grasping, reaching, bending, stooping in confined spaces;
  • Exposure to dust;
  • Lifting up to 55 pounds, team lifting over 55 pounds;
  • Continuous or frequent sitting, standing, hand use, stooping, crawling, ladder climbing;
