Job Title: Data Center Warehouse Associate

Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and safety-conscious Data Center Warehouse Associate to join our growing team. This position is responsible for supporting the daily operations of our data center warehouse by receiving, storing, and distributing equipment and materials. The ideal candidate will have an OSHA 10 certification and a valid lift certification, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment. The Data Center Warehouse Associate will work closely with other teams to maintain inventory accuracy and contribute to the overall success of our data center operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inventory Management: Receive, store, and organize materials, including server equipment, parts, and other items essential to data center operations. Accurately track and record inventory levels and report discrepancies.
- Equipment Handling: Safely operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling tools. Use proper techniques for loading/unloading items and ensure safe and secure transportation of equipment.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to OSHA safety standards, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and reporting any unsafe conditions. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
- Shipping and Receiving: Process incoming and outgoing shipments, verifying contents against packing lists, and ensuring that items are properly packaged and documented. Handle and inspect shipments for damage.
- Order Fulfillment: Assist in picking, packing, and preparing orders for delivery to various departments or external clients. Ensure all orders are fulfilled accurately and in a timely manner.
- Equipment and Asset Tracking: Maintain accurate records of inventory using tracking systems, and report any discrepancies or concerns to the Warehouse Supervisor. Assist in conducting physical inventories.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other teams such as IT, Operations, and Facilities to ensure smooth workflow, and assist in data center equipment setups and installations as needed.
- Documentation: Complete and maintain all necessary documentation related to inventory, shipping/receiving, and safety protocols. Ensure accuracy and completeness of records.
Required Qualifications:
- OSHA 10 Certification: Must possess a valid OSHA 10 certification to ensure adherence to workplace safety standards.
- Lift Certification: Must have current lift certification to operate warehouse equipment safely.
- Experience: At least 1-2 years of experience in warehouse operations, preferably within a data center or tech environment.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift and move heavy materials (up to 50 lbs) and work in a physically demanding environment.
- Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills with a high level of accuracy in inventory management and order fulfillment.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in using inventory management software and basic computer applications (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Communication Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills for interaction with team members and management.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a data center environment or with IT equipment.
- Forklift operation experience (with valid certification).
- Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and climb as required.
- Ability to work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures and humidity levels.
- The role is based in a warehouse environment within a data center.
- Must be able to work in a team-oriented, high-paced environment.
- Will require occasional overtime based on operational demands.
