Multiple Shifts Available: Sun.-Thurs. 2:00pm-10:30 pm (days vary)

GENERAL SUMMARY:

The Warehouse Associate is responsible for the timely processing of inbound and outbound packages, prioritizing overnight and refrigerated deliveries. The Receiver ensures packages are received according to SOPs, tracked, and scanned to the proper staging area before reaching their final destination. They collaborate with department auditors to resolve receiving discrepancies, ensuring timely vendor payments.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Courteous with effective communication skills, able to work with diverse backgrounds
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Capable of working in a fast-paced environment, managing time effectively to meet deadlines
  • Ability to identify, sort, count accurately, and determine correct units of measure
  • Proficient in reading and writing in English
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Willing to learn and operate Warehouse Management System (WMS) and Material Handling Equipment (MHE)
  • Assist in order picking, filling, asset tagging, packing, and setup for delivery
  • Basic computer skills for order processing in paperless or paper environments

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS PREFERRED:

  • Experience with MHE such as Reach Trucks, Order Pickers, Powered Pallet-jacks, Forklifts
  • Experience with Warehouse Management Systems

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience
  • Basic knowledge in math, reading, basic accounting, typing

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:

  • Experience in distribution or production environments

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure accuracy of shipping/receiving documents and maintain related data and records
  • Operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently to transport products and stage orders
  • Perform pre-shift equipment inspections and report unsafe conditions
  • Verify counts against purchase orders and resolve discrepancies
  • File all shipping and receiving documentation properly
  • Follow safety guidelines when operating powered equipment
  • Complete required training and certification for powered industrial trucks
  • Meet productivity standards in a fast-paced environment
  • Build and transport stable pallets of various products
  • Analyze and resolve work problems, assisting teammates as needed
  • Identify correct supplies and units of measure
  • Maintain quality to minimize errors, damages, and shortages
  • Verify received orders electronically and label containers accordingly
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Communicate with vendors regarding overages, shortages, and damages
  • Dispose of waste materials properly
  • Work flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends
  • Provide feedback on teammate performance
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or lead

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $18.75 per hour
