The Warehouse Associate performs various warehouse/distribution functions accurately and efficiently to ensure customer satisfaction. This role requires proficiency in at least one distribution activity such as receiving, stocking, order filling, packaging, or shipping. The position emphasizes safety, operational expertise, and productivity within a quality-driven environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform warehouse duties including receiving, stocking, order filling, packaging, and shipping.
- Receive and unload freight, verify parts and condition.
- Verify quantities and follow correct stocking procedures, including overstock placement.
- Prioritize and fill orders accurately using warehouse equipment.
- Pick correct products safely, verify packaging, and ensure proper labeling for shipping.
- Match shipping orders with slips, utilize appropriate shipping lines, and load packages.
- Address issues related to damages, shortages, or inventory inaccuracies.
- Conduct cycle counts.
- Maintain warehouse cleanliness and organization.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma/GED with 1-2 years of material handling or warehouse experience.
- Ability to operate forklifts, rider reach trucks, stock pickers, or hand trucks; certification required.
- Knowledge of Warehouse Management Software or logistics solutions is a plus.
- Capable of working in a fast-paced environment, independently or in a team.
- Ability to read and interpret training instructions, shipping tickets, etc.
- Lift up to 80 pounds, with frequent lifting of 40-60 pounds.
- Stand and walk on concrete for 8-10 hours daily.
- Experience with RIF Scanner preferred; basic computer and SAP knowledge is a plus.
Compensation and Benefits:
Hourly pay: $19.50, based on factors including experience and certifications. Potential for annual incentive bonus.
