Warehouse Associate (Finance)



The Warehouse Associate helps ensure that the warehouse runs smoothly and efficiently. Complete all tasks assigned by the Warehouse/Operations Manager.

Essential Functions

  1. Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (load, pack, wrap, label, ship).
  2. Pull inventory for shipments.
  3. Help ensure the correct material is pulled and loaded onto trucks for delivery.
  4. Record selected merchandise in accordance with standard operating procedures.
  5. Attach correct and complete labels to all processed orders.
  6. Maintain a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization.
  7. Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers.
  8. Operate and perform preventive maintenance on warehouse equipment.
  9. Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  10. Work in accordance with all warehouse safety regulations.
  11. Load finished products onto trucks.
  12. Navigate equipment within the warehouse to collect customer orders.
  13. Follow all safety regulations related to driving, vehicle checks, material handling, and customer site specifics.
  14. Interact professionally and positively with customers and the public.
  15. Assist with counter sales to General Contractors.
  16. Use technology to help manage logistics processes.
  17. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must pass pre-employment background check and drug test.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Basic computer skills.
  • Knowledge of architectural door materials and hardware is a plus.
  • Experience driving trucks for delivery is preferred.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to accurately perform arithmetic, read orders, write instructions, and complete forms.
  • Ability to work closely and cordially with other staff associates.

Physical Demands

Spends more than two-thirds of the time standing, kneeling, crouching, stooping, using hands, and reaching. Spends approximately one-third of the time walking and talking/hearing. Frequent lifting of items 25-50 pounds, with occasional lifting over 50 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.

Work Environment

Conditions include proximity to forklifts or other heavy machinery and the use of various tools and hardware. Subject to frequent heavy lifting. May require driving to project sites. Exposure to variable weather conditions, including hot and cold temperatures.
