Job summary

Olympic Steel, a leading processed metal products company, seeks team members in its Mount Sterling, KY area to support shipping/receiving and operations. You will help machine operators, load and unload with a forklift and overhead crane, assemble wooden skids, and finish parts to customer specs.

Candidates should be comfortable in a fast-paced environment, able to measure materials, and pay close attention to detail, with knowledge of power tools a plus.

Qualifications

• Basic measuring tools proficiency.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow directions.
• Knowledge of power tools and machinery is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in shipping and receiving department.
• Assist machine operators.
• Operate forklift to load and unload material.
• Operate overhead crane to load and unload material.
• Assemble wooden skids and assist in banding material.
• Package and/or kit parts.
• Finish parts by hand grinding or using deburring machine.
• Measure material or parts based on customer specifications.
• Keep work area clean and maintained throughout shift.
