Job summary

Olympic Steel is seeking a reliable warehouse professional to support shipping, receiving, and production operations in Mount Sterling, KY. You will assist machine operators, load and unload materials, and help assemble skids and packaging, maintaining accuracy to customer specs.

• Assist in shipping and receiving.

• Package parts and finish by grinding or deburring.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area throughout shift.

Essential Functions

• Assists in shipping and receiving department
• Assists machine operators
• Operates forklift to load and unload material
• Operates overhead crane to load and unload material
• Assembles wooden skids and assists in the banding of material
• Packages and/or kits parts
• Finishes parts by hand grinding or use of deburring machine
• Measures material or parts based on customer specifications
• Keep work area clean and maintained throughout shift
• Skilled at basic measuring tools
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to pay strong attention to detail and follow directions
• Knowledge of power tools and machinery is a plus
