Job summary

Schaedler Yesco Distribution Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Associate at our Lower Burrell, PA site. The role covers receiving, storing, packing, and shipping duties in a busy warehouse environment. You will load/unload, maintain inventory accuracy, and support the Wire Services department as needed.

Ideal candidates have basic math and computer skills, and can stand, lift up to 50 lbs, and work Monday–Friday with occasional overtime. Onsite work only.

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse experience preferred.
• Ability to operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and similar equipment.

Responsibilities

• Pull and pack orders.
• Unload, receive, and store stock when needed.
• Prepare orders to ship via 3rd party.
• Load trucks for outbound shipments.
• Ensure inventory accuracy.
• Back-up driver for morning and afternoon routes.
• Back-up Wire Services department as needed.
• Perform basic mathematics and use a computer.

Location: Lower Burrell, PA / Onsite

Job Type: Full-Time

Work Shift Hours: Monday through Friday, 11:30 AM until production is completed. Voluntary overtime opportunities may be available on weekends.
Summary/ Objective:

This role is responsible for performing a variety of tasks in support of warehousing functions including; delivering, storing, processing, and loading of warehouse inventory.

Essential Functions:

• Pull and pack orders
• Unload, receive, and put away stock when needed
• Prepare orders to ship via 3 rd party
• Load trucks
• Ensure inventory accuracy
• Back-up driver for morning and afternoon run
• Back-up the Wire Services department as needed.
• Basic mathematics skills
• Interpersonal skills using tact, patience, and courtesy
• Basic computer skills

This job most operates within the warehouse setting. Varying temperatures and moving equipment are presented in the warehouse. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.

• Demonstrates safe working habits.

Physical Demands:

• the ability to stand, walk for moderately long distances, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, push/pull) weight up to 50lbs unassisted
• The ability to climb a ladder
• The ability to operate a forklift, pallet jack, and various warehousing machinery/tools
• Ability to use a keyboard and type proficientlySpecific vision abilities required by this job may include close vision, color vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
