Job summary

Richards Building Supply is seeking a Warehouse Associate for the Johnson City, TN location. You will receive materials, process inventory, load trucks, and assist with shipping/receiving while upholding safety protocols.

The role may include occasional deliveries in the company pickup truck and offers a Monday–Friday schedule with OT during peak seasons and a benefits package.

Qualifications

• High School degree or GED.
• Ability to stand, bend, twist through complete shift.
• Forklift experience desired.
• Ability to communicate with co-workers, vendors, and customers.
• Positive attitude and team player.
• Adhering to all safety policies, including wearing safety harness and other required equipment.
• Work Monday through Friday and overtime during the busy season.

Responsibilities

• Receive materials in the warehouse and process inventory.
• Load trucks and ensure loads are secured per DOT regulations.
• Provide warehouse support including shipping/receiving and order pulling for walk-ins.
• Occasional deliveries in company pickup truck when needed.
• Maintain safety practices and communicate with team and vendors.

Our Warehouse team members are responsible for receiving materials in the warehouse, loading trucks, and processing inventory. Requirements

• Must be able to continually lift 50-100 lbs. of material throughout the day. Some lifting over 100 lbs. will be required.
• Load trucks with material scheduled for the day’s deliveries within compliance of securing and distributing weight limits according to DOT regulations.
• Providing superior customer service
• Double checking all loads for accuracy and ensuring that they are thoroughly secured for delivery
• Providing warehouse support including shipping/receiving
• Pulling order for walk-in customers
• Must have a clean driving record
