Responsibilities

• Move incoming and outgoing merchandise by hand, hand truck, or powered equipment.
• Check, verify, and audit goods for accuracy, entering data into RF scanners/terminals.
• Identify, label, and palletize items to replenish pick areas per system reports.
• Fill store orders by selecting items from pick slots and moving to conveyors/trailers.
• Report damages, vendor issues, and inventory discrepancies with supervisors.
• Maintain safety, productivity, and quality while keeping areas clean.

Our client is looking for dedicated Warehouse Associates to join their distribution center team in Janesville, WI. In this role, you will be responsible for the expedient and accurate handling of merchandise moving into and out of the warehouse ensuring orders are processed efficiently while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.

Role Highlights

• Compensation: $19.80+/hr.
• Benefits: Full benefits package available once converted to permanent hire.
• Shift/schedule: Various shifts available (1st, 2nd, and Weekend Shift options; OT required as needed)

What You'll Do

• Move incoming and outgoing merchandise throughout the distribution center warehouse by hand, hand truck, or powered equipment.
• Check, verify, and audit received goods for accuracy, quality, and damage, entering data into RF scanners/remote terminals.
• Identify, separate, label, and palletize items onto flats to replenish pick areas based on system reports.
• Accurately fill store orders by selecting items from pick slots and moving them to conveyors or trailers.
• Partner with supervisors to report damages, vendor compliance issues, and inventory discrepancies.
• Consistently meet safety, productivity, and quality standards while keeping work areas clean and organized.

What You'll Bring

• Education & Experience: High school diploma or GED preferred; experience in an automated distribution center or using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is a plus.
• Technical Skills: Ability to use a Radio Frequency (RF) unit and learn the operation of motorized material-handling equipment (with annual certification).
• Math & Communication: Basic simple math skills and strong communication skills to follow instructions, document records, and collaborate with team members.
• Physical Capabilities: Continuous walking, standing, bending, reaching, and working at heights up to 30 feet. Ability to regularly lift up to 65 lbs independently (and team-lift up to 85 lbs).
• Stamina & Flexibility: Ability to work up to 12-hour shifts and commit to mandatory overtime during peak periods.
