Job summary

Wismettac in Honolulu seeks a Warehouse Associate 1 to support the Branch Office with a range of general and specific warehouse tasks, including receiving, stocking, assembling, staging, loading and unloading products.

The role requires strength to lift heavy objects over 50 pounds, ability to operate a pallet jack, and reliable English communication. Standard 40-hour workweek with potential for extended hours; pre-employment drug testing is required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to organize and prioritize numerous tasks under time constraints.
• Ability to read, speak, and write in English.
• Capable of operating pallet jack and other material handling equipment.
• Must be physically able to lift heavy objects over 50 pounds.
• Able to follow written and oral instructions.

Responsibilities

• Package finished products for shipping by shrinking, boxing, labeling.
• Stage finished products for loading and delivery.
• Check purchase/work orders for correct assembly and readiness.
• Verify correct item counts during assembly.
• Assist in inventory maintenance and counts.
• Load finished products onto trucks and unload at designated areas.
• Ensure quality control to prevent sending damaged products.
• Operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
• Provide on-the-job training for new employees.
• Move inventory into and out of controlled locations.
• Provide fill-in support for other departments as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Work schedule: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM Monday to Friday

Warehouse Associate 1 contributes to the efficient operation of the warehouse by providing labor support to the Branch Office. Warehouse Associate 1 in this job performs a range of general and specific warehouse tasks that can be easily learned on the job, such as receiving, stocking, assembling, staging, loading, and unloading products.

• Package finished product for shipping (Shrink wrapping, boxing, labeling).
• Stages finished product for loading.
• Check purchase orders/ work orders to ensure that products are correctly assembled and ready for delivery.
• Check items to ensure that the correct number of products is being assembled.
• Assists in inventory level maintenance and inventory counts.
• Load the finished product onto the truck.
• Unload products from trucks, containers, and stock them in the designated area.
• Responsible for quality control. Ensure that no damaged products are sent out, and no damaged products will be stored.
• Operate the pallet jack within standard operating procedures.
• Perform on-the-job training for new employees.
• Handle inventory movement into and out of controlled locations.
• Provide fill-in support for other departments in the warehouse.
• Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Ability

• Must be able to organize and prioritize numerous tasks and complete them under various time constraints.
• Knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures of the warehouse environment.
• The incumbent should be able to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Correctly follow a given rule or set of rules to arrange things or actions in a certain order;
• Require considerable and strenuous physical exertion so incumbents should be able to lift heavy objects over 50 pounds.
• Ability to operate material handler equipment proficiently.
• Ability to read, speak, and write in English.
• Physically strong, agile, dexterous, and undeterred by heights and adverse climatic conditions.
• Positive work history and ability to maintain solid attendance.
• Available to work extended hours.

Working Conditions:

Some Warehouse Associates will spend time in the warehouse's refrigerated (Cooler and Freezer) section. Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment, including but not limited to steel-toed boots. The typical workweek is Monday through Friday (standard 40 hours per week); however, evening, night shift, overtime, and weekend hours are common in some branch offices.
