Job summary

Wismettac Asian Foods, Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Associate to support branch warehouse operations. You will handle receiving, stocking, assembling, staging, and loading/unloading products while maintaining accurate inventory and quality control.

The role requires lifting up to 50 pounds, operating pallet jacks, and following safe, efficient procedures. A strong work history and reliable attendance are essential for this full‑time position.

Qualifications

• Must be able to organize and prioritize numerous tasks under time constraints.
• Knowledge of warehouse processes and safety procedures.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Physically capable of lifting heavy objects up to 50 pounds.
• Able to operate pallet jacks and related handling equipment.
• Must read, speak and write English.

Responsibilities

• Package finished product for shipping (shrink wrap, boxing, labeling).
• Stage finished product for loading and delivery.
• Verify items against purchase/work orders for correct assembly.
• Check quantities to ensure correct product counts.
• Assist in maintaining inventory and counting processes.
• Load finished product onto trucks and unload at designated area.
• Ensure quality control and prevent damaged items from leaving facility.
• Perform routine maintenance on pallet jacks and equipment.

Shift Schedules

Shift 1: Monday to Thursday 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM and Friday 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM (with OT)

Shift 2: Monday to Friday 4:00 AM – 1:00 PM (with OT)

Warehouse Associate 1

Contributes to the efficient operation of the warehouse by providing labor support to the Branch Office. Performs a range of general and specific warehouse tasks such as receiving, stocking, assembling, staging, loading, and unloading products.

Responsibilities

• Package finished product for shipping (Shrink wrapping, boxing, labeling).
• Stages finished product for loading.
• Check purchase orders/work orders to ensure that products are correctly assembled and ready for delivery.
• Check items to ensure that the correct number of products are being assembled.
• Assists in inventory level maintenance and inventory counts.
• Load the finished product onto the truck.
• Unload products from trucks, containers, and stock them in the designated area.
• Responsible for quality control. Ensure that no damaged products are sent out, and no damaged products will be stored.
• Operate pallet jack within standard operating procedures.
• Perform preventive maintenance on pallet jacks.
• Perform on‑the‑job training for new employees.
• Handle inventory movement into and out of controlled locations.
• Prepare customers’ orders for delivery.
• Provide fill‑in support for other departments in the warehouse.
• Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Ability

• Must be able to organize and prioritize numerous tasks and complete them under various time constraints.
• Knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures of the warehouse environment.
• The incumbent should be able to follow written and/or oral instructions.
• Correctly follow a given rule or set of rules to arrange things or actions in a certain order.
• Require considerable and strenuous physical exertion so incumbents should be able to lift heavy objects over 50 pounds.
• Ability to operate material handler equipment proficiently.
• Ability to read, speak, and write in English.
• Physically strong, agile, dexterous, and undeterred by heights and adverse climatic conditions.
• Positive work history and ability to maintain solid attendance.
• Available to work extended hours.
