Job summary

Specialty Building Products is seeking a 1st shift Warehouse Associate for our Columbus Pace, OH facility. Shift runs 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday, handling loading, unloading, sorting, staging, and transporting products within the warehouse.

The starting pay rate is $18/hour. Qualified candidates should safely operate forklifts, read tickets and labels, maintain a clean work area, and work well in a team while following safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Forklift operation and safety procedures required.
• Ability to read tickets, SKU labels, and UPC labels.
• Ability to stand, walk and lift up to 50 lbs throughout shift.
• Teamwork and clear communication in a warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload products in the warehouse.
• Sort, stage, and transport items as needed.
• Operate equipment and assist in inventory management.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and comply with safety rules.

Job description

U.S. Lumber, an SBP brand is currently looking for a 1st Shift Warehouse Associate, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, to join our Columbus Pace OH facility. The majority of duties at this facility is protected from elements, under cover, or in enclosures. In this role you will be responsible for loading, unloading, sorting, staging, transporting and otherwise handling products that come into and move out of the warehouse.

Starting Pay Rate is $18/hour.

Qualifications – A qualified candidate will:

• Safely operate forklift and other machinery
• Band, wrap, tape product
• Maintain work area and be organized
• Responding to public address system announcements, directions from supervisors and managers, warning alarms from other forklift drivers
• Walking and carrying merchandise
• Great attention to detail and accuracy - be able to stand and work on your feet throughout shift as normal routine
• Identify and read tickets, SKU’s, UPC labels and reports
• Follow all safety procedures
• Work in a team environment
• Be able to bend, stoop, reach, twist, squat, push, pull, move, and lift to 50lbs
• Other duties may be assigned
