Freight Handlers is hiring for an early-morning warehouse role in Florence, SC. The position involves unloading freight from tractor-trailers and using forklifts or pallet jacks, with training provided. Expect lifting 25–80 lb cases and moving a large number of pallets daily, in a climate-controlled warehouse.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Unloading tractor-trailers in a fast-paced warehouse setting.
• Operating forklifts & powered pallet jacks (training provided).
• Breaking down and restacking pallets.
• Handling freight weighing 25–80 lbs throughout the shift.
• Moving 25–80 lb cases; moving 50–200+ pallets daily.
• Using powered equipment as needed.
• Maintaining safety by hearing and responding to alarms and safety alerts in moderate to loud environments.

• Pay structure: During startup and training phase, associates are paid $16 per hour. After stable volume, pay transitions to a base minimum of $13 per hour or production incentives, whichever is higher.

Responsibilities

• Unloading tractor‑trailers in a fast‑paced warehouse setting
• Operating forklifts & powered pallet jacks (training provided)
• Breaking down and restacking pallets
• Handling freight weighing 25–80 lbs throughout the shift
• Moving 25–80 lb cases; moving 50–200+ pallets daily
• Using powered equipment as needed
• Maintaining safety by hearing and responding to alarms and safety alerts in moderate to loud environments

Work Conditions

• Lifting, walking, bending, twisting, reaching, pushing, and squatting throughout the shift
• Working in warehouse temperatures ranging from 32°F to 90°F
• Shift: 1st Shift 4:00AM – until the shift is complete; 5‑day workweek, operations run 7 days per week, schedules may include weekends

Qualifications

• Warehouse experience preferred (order picking, forklift, etc.) but not required
• Ability to lift, walk, bend, and twist most of the workday
• Strong communication skills and a team‑player attitude
• Reliable and willing to work scheduled shifts
• Basic math and attention to detail
• Ability to speak, read, and write English effectively
• Follow directions and work safely
• Respectful and professional with others
• Works well in a team environment
• Commutes from the listed location
