Job summary

Atlanta Flooring Design Centers Inc is seeking a Warehouse Associate in Durham, NC to protect inventory and support loading, unloading and material handling in our warehouse.

You will operate a forklift as needed, follow safety policies, and collaborate with team members to meet delivery schedules. A high school diploma or GED is required, with at least one year of warehouse experience; bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of warehouse experience preferred.
• Must be able to lift heavy objects up to 75 pounds.
• Must wear steel-toe boots for safety.
• Forklift certification or willingness to obtain internal certification.

Responsibilities

• Loads and unloads goods and supplies.
• Moves goods within the warehouse using a forklift as needed.
• Follows all safety policies and procedures.
• May deliver or pick up materials using the company vehicle.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job description

The Warehouse Associate helps protect inventory, receives, loads, and unloads materials. He or she must appropriately handle all materials following company policies and procedures to ensure a safe workplace and may need to drive a company vehicle occasionally.The ideal candidate for this position has a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of experience in a warehouse environment. In addition, he or she must have the strength and stamina to perform the duties of this position (standing, walking, lifting, pushing, pulling, etc.) and must have a forklift certification (or is willing to obtain our internal certification). Effective oral and written skills, good time management skills, speech, and behavior are all required for this position. Bilingual (English and Spanish) is a plus but not required to be considered.
