Job summary

AFC Industries is seeking a Warehouse Associate (Shipping) to join our Des Moines, IA team. You will receive materials, stock shelves, locate items for orders, and prepare shipments for UPS or truck delivery.

This role requires forklift experience, RF scanner use, basic computer skills, and the ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand 8 hours. Hours are 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, Monday–Friday. Benefits include 401(k) and health, life, and vision insurance, PTO, and more.

Responsibilities

• Receive incoming material from suppliers.
• Stock shelves and pallet racks.
• Locate and pull material for customer orders.
• Pack material for shipping via UPS or pallets.
• Complete documentation and maintain quality standards in warehouse processes.
• Process shipments in ERP system and support other tasks as assigned.
• Operate forklift/standup picker and RF scanner as needed.

Warehouse Associate (Shipping)

What you'll be doing:

• Receiving incoming material from suppliers
• Stocking shelves and pallet racks
• Locating and pulling material for customer orders
• Efficiently packing material in boxes for UPS or pallets for truck shipments
• Completing documentation, adhering to quality standards for all warehouse processes Completing customer deliveries, processing shipments in our ERP system and other tasks as assigned.
• Forkift/Standup picker, RF scanner, picking, receiving, and shipping experience a plus.

What you need:

• You will need to be a team player, take direction and strictly follow instructions
• Able to lift 50+ pounds, stand for 8 hours in a warehouse environment
• Shipping/Receiving experience in a warehouse environment.
• Computer skills and to be able to communication effectively.
• Must have 2+ years of forklift experience.

Work Hours: 7AM - 3:30PM, Monday-Friday

Hourly Pay: $18.00 - 20.00
