Job summary

Howw Manufacturing in Lake Barrington, IL is seeking a Warehouse Associate to join a fast-paced team. In this full-time role, you will receive, store, pick and ship materials, using forklifts and hand trucks as needed, while ensuring accuracy and on-time performance.

You will help maintain inventory, follow safety protocols, and collaborate with teammates to meet daily deadlines. Experience in warehousing and working with shipping carriers is preferred; English communication is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–3 years warehouse, shipping or logistics experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive incoming shipments and verify contents against packing slips and purchase orders.
• Unload trucks and move materials to storage areas using forklifts, pallet jacks and hand trucks.
• Label, sort and store materials accurately for easy retrieval.
• Pick, pack and label orders for shipment per customer requirements.
• Maintain accurate inventory through cycle counts and discrepancy resolution.
• Restock shelves and organize storage areas to support inventory management.
• Operate warehouse equipment safely following all safety protocols.
• Keep the warehouse clean, organized and safe, and assist teammates to meet deadlines.

Warehouse Associate

This is a hands‑on role for an experienced warehouse professional who is comfortable on a forklift and thrives in a fast‑paced environment where no two days are exactly the same.

You’ll spend most of your day on your feet and on the move, working alongside a team that values hard work, accuracy and helping each other succeed. What You’ll Do

• Receive incoming shipments and verify their contents against packing slips and purchase orders
• Unload trucks and move materials to their designated storage areas using forklifts, pallet jacks and hand trucks
• Label, sort and store materials accurately so everything is easy to find
• Pick, pack and label orders for shipment according to customer requirements
• Keep inventory accurate through regular cycle counts and by resolving any discrepancies
• Support inventory management by restocking shelves, organizing storage areas and maintaining bin locations
• Operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently, following all safety protocols
• Keep the warehouse clean, organized and safe for everyone
• Work closely with teammates and supervisors to prioritize tasks and hit deadlines
• Follow company policies and procedures for safety, security and quality

What You’ll Bring

• Prior warehouse experience
• Forklift experience (certification preferred, or the ability to obtain it)
• Experience with shipping carriers such as UPS, FedEx and LTL freight (strongly preferred)
• A sharp eye for detail and accuracy
• Energy and stamina for a fast‑paced, physically active role
• A reliable, team‑first attitude and a strong work ethic
• Basic computer skills for inventory and shipping systems
• The ability to communicate effectively in English (bilingual is a plus, but not required)

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1–3 years of warehouse, shipping or logistics experience preferred

Physical Requirements

• Standing and walking for extended periods, with frequent movement throughout the day
• Lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds
• Frequent bending, reaching and moving throughout the warehouse
