Job description

Southeast Unloading is seeking to hire hardworking unloaders (lumpers) to unload trucks, sort, and stack products in a warehouse environment.

Starting pay is $18/hr.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operate a forklift and/or pallet jack to assist in unloading.
• Safely and efficiently remove products from trucks, adhering to all safety standards, procedures, and processes.
• Coordinate with receivers and tow motor operators to ensure proper inbound product flow.
• Hand-stack all floor loads appropriately, with labels out, correct tier heights, and no mixed products.
• Ensure product loads are handled properly to minimize damage.
• Submit paperwork correctly and timely; wrap pallets to ensure stability during storage.

PHYSICAL & MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

• Stand, bend, stoop, squat, reach, twist, and move continuously.
• Walk frequently throughout the workday.
• Reach above shoulder level to lift or move objects weighing 30-50 pounds and occasionally 50-100 pounds when unloading and sorting pallets.
• Push and pull frequently.
• Work comfortably in a very active, fast-paced environment.
• Endure extreme temperatures of heat and cold.
• Withstand loud noise and distractions.
• Have 20/20 vision with correction.
• Follow verbal and written instructions.
• Possess basic English reading, writing, and math skills.
• Have reliable transportation.

Once hired, candidates will be required to:

Southeast Unloading is a third-party logistics provider headquartered in Northeast Florida. We unload general merchandise, grocery, perishables, retail foods, and pharmaceuticals in warehouses and distribution centers. We do not own the sites but provide services such as freight unloading, pallet management, tote washing, trailer stripping, driver assistance, picking, will-call, export labeling, housekeeping, and janitorial services to our customers' warehouses and distribution centers.
