Job summary

Lansing Building Products is seeking a Warehouse Associate in a fast-paced warehouse environment. You will greet customers, process pick tickets, and assist with loading and unloading company trucks, using RF scanners to track products.

The role emphasizes accuracy in order fulfillment, safe handling of building materials up to 70 pounds, and maintaining an orderly workspace. No relocation required; standard daytime hours with some location variance.

Qualifications

• Prior material-handling or warehouse experience preferred.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to work in a team and/or one-on-one with customers.
• Ability to lift and move building materials weighing up to 70+ lbs.
• Good attitude and ability to work under deadlines.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Live our mission statement centered on our values of respect, service, and excellence
• Greet customers, pick tickets, and load/unload customer and company trucks
• Utilize handheld RF scanners to move, track, and manage products through our Warehouse Management System (TWL)
• Verify accuracy of orders picked and shipments received
• Lift and move boxes of building materials weighing up to 70 pounds
• Keep warehouse clean and orderly

Qualifications

• Prior material-handling or warehouse experience (preferred)
• High integrity and high energy
• Experience in building products as well as previous warehouse experience is strongly desired
• Ability to work in a team and/or one-on-one with our customers
• Ability and willingness to lift boxes and building materials weighing as much as 70+ lbs
• Strong customer service skills
• Experience with a forklift is a plus
• Ability to work successfully under the pressure of deadlines and to accept new ways of doing business
• Strong, positive attitude

A Warehouse Associate's day usually begins around 7:00 AM -- sometimes earlier -- and ends at approximately 4:30 PM -- Monday through Friday, generally no weekend work (hours may vary by location)
