Job summary

Kamco Supply in Buffalo, NY is seeking a Warehouse Associate to provide service to customers entering the warehouse, receive and move materials, and maintain an orderly facility.

Responsibilities include operating a forklift, lifting up to 100 lbs, participating in inventories, and upholding safety and quality standards. A high school diploma or GED is required; building supply warehouse experience is preferred.

• Ability to work 40–50 hours per week.
• Forklift operation is required.

• Allocate and move materials to their correct places and keep the warehouse orderly.
• Maintain packing specs and prepare skids/pallets as needed.
• Operate forklift and other company vehicles/equipment as trained.
• Attend and participate in required training programs.
• Perform minor building maintenance as needed.
• Participate in inventories (weekly/monthly/annually).
• Maintain a safe, orderly warehouse appearance.
• Comply with company policies and OSHA standards.
• Support customer-focused quality products and services.
• Maintain knowledge of products by identification, weight, and size.
• Verify truck loads.
• Work outdoors with varying shifts.

• Allocate and move material to its correct place and ensure an orderly warehouse at all times.
• Maintain packing specifications, and make suitable skids/pallets, etc.
• Operate forklift and other company vehicles and equipment as trained and instructed.
• Attend and participate in all required company training programs.
• Perform minor building maintenance when necessary.
• Participate in weekly, monthly and/or annual physical inventories.
• Maintain the appearance of the warehouse in a safe and orderly manner.
• Conform to all company policies and procedures, and OSHA standards.
• Maintain a high level of customer focus in producing quality products and services.
• Maintain a full understanding of all products by identification, weight, and size.
• Must be able to operate a forklift.
• Ability to lift up to 100lbs.
• Must be able to work 40 to 50 hours per week.
• Verify truck loads.
• Able to work outdoors - varying shifts.
• Maintain a basic knowledge of trucks, forklifts, and other equipment to determine necessary repairs.
• High school diploma, general education degree (GED), or equivalent work experience and/or training.
• Building supply warehouse experience strongly preferred.
