Job summary

BryComm, LLC is seeking a Warehouse Associate to help keep operations running smoothly. You will prepare and complete orders, pull inventory, label and ship, and coordinate with the Warehouse/Operations Manager. This role requires the ability to lift 25-50 pounds, perform basic arithmetic, and work safely around forklifts and other equipment.

First shift, on-site in Vernon Hills, IL. Strong communication and reliability are essential as you interact with team members and drivers and support

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills to record and track orders.
• Knowledge of architectural door materials and hardware a plus.
• Experience driving trucks for delivery preferred.
• Good communication skills for coordination with team and customers.
• Ability to perform arithmetic, read orders, and complete forms.
• Ability to work closely with staff and supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule.
• Pull inventory for shipments and ensure correct items are loaded.
• Label, wrap, and ship orders with accurate records.
• Maintain safe, clean working environment and optimize space utilization.
• Operate and maintain warehouse equipment and assist with safety procedures.
• Interact professionally with customers and contractors; counter sales as needed.
• Use technology to manage logistics and ensure accurate documentation.

Job description

The Warehouse Associates helps ensure that the warehouse runs smoothly and efficiently. Complete all tasks assigned by the Warehouse/Operations Manager.

Essential Functions

• Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (load, pack, wrap, label, ship)
• Pull inventory for shipments
• Help with ensuring correct material is pulled and loaded on our truck for delivery
• Recording selected merchandise in accordance with standard operating procedures
• Ensuring correct and complete labels are attached to all orders processed
• Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization
• Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers
• Operate and preventively maintain warehouse equipment
• Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules, and regulations
• Working in accordance with all warehouse safety regulations
• Load finished product onto truck
• Navigate equipment through a warehouse to collect customer orders
• Follow all applicable safety regulations and processes as associated with driving, vehicle check, material handling and customer site specifics
• Interact with customers and the public in a professional and positive manner
• Counter sales to General Contractors
• Use technology to help manage the logistics process.
• Other relative duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma, or an equivalent combination of education/experience
• Must pass pre-employment background check and drug test

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

Physical Demands

Spends more than 2/3 of time standing, kneeling/crouching/stooping, using hands and reaching. Spends approximately 1/3 of time walking and talking/hearing. Frequent lifting required of items 25-50 pounds, and occasional lifting over 50 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.

Work Environment

Conditions will include proximity to forklifts or other heavy machinery and using various tools and hardware. Subject to frequent heavy lifting. May require driving to project sites. May be exposed to variable weather conditions, including hot and cold temperatures. First shift.
