Job summary

Kamco Supply Corp. of Boston is seeking Warehouse Associates to support receiving and movement of materials within our Buffalo warehouse. You will serve customers, stock and organize items, and operate forklifts while maintaining a safe, orderly workspace in line with OSHA standards.

We value integrity, safety and teamwork. Candidates must be able to lift up to 100 lbs and work 40–50 hours per week; prior building supply warehouse experience is preferred, and training is provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in warehouse operations preferred.
• Forklift operation proficiency required.
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Provide service to customers entering the warehouse.
• Receive, organize, and move incoming materials and load outgoing materials.
• Allocate and move material to its correct place and ensure an orderly warehouse at all times.
• Maintain packing specifications and prepare skids/pallets.
• Operate forklift and other company vehicles and equipment as trained.
• Attend and participate in all required company training programs.
• Perform minor building maintenance when necessary.
• Participate in inventories.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly warehouse.
• Follow company policies, procedures, and OSHA standards.
• Understand products by identification, weight, and size.
• Verify truck loads and work outdoors on varying shifts.
• Maintain knowledge of trucks, forklifts, and other equipment for repairs.
• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent experience.
• Building supply warehouse experience strongly preferred.

Essential Functions/Qualifications/Education

• Provide service to customers entering the warehouse.

• Allocate and move material to its correct place and ensure an orderly warehouse at all times.
• Maintain packing specifications, and make suitable skids/pallets, etc.
• Operate forklift and other company vehicles and equipment as trained and instructed.
• Attend and participate in all required company training programs.
• Perform minor building maintenance when necessary.
• Participate in weekly, monthly and/or annual physical inventories.
• Maintain the appearance of the warehouse in a safe and orderly manner.
• Conform to all company policies and procedures, and OSHA standards.
• Maintain a high level of customer focus in producing quality products and services.
• Maintain a full understanding of all products by identification, weight, and size.
• Must be able to operate a forklift.
• Ability to lift up to 100lbs.
• Must be able to work 40 to 50 hours per week..
• Verify truck loads.
• Able to work outdoors - varying shifts.
• Maintain a basic knowledge of trucks, forklifts, and other equipment to determine necessary repairs.
• High school diploma, general education degree (GED), or equivalent work experience and/or training.
• Building supply warehouse experience strongly preferred.
