Job summary

SmartRent, based in Avondale, AZ, is seeking a Warehouse Associate to support inventory and order fulfillment for our smart home hardware.

Qualifications

• 2 years related experience in a warehouse environment.
• Knowledge of inventory management procedures and general warehousing terminology and practices.
• Experience and proficiency in database management, analyzing and reporting data regarding inventory issues, results, trends, solutions.

Responsibilities

• Order stock and fulfill online orders via SmartRent's e-commerce store.
• Prep, re-pack, and ship smart home hubs to field installation projects.
• Coordinate with Client Success, Accounting, Product Management and Field Installation teams.
• Work with the Procurement Manager to determine purchasing needs and requirements.
• Operate material handling equipment safely for receiving, sorting, counting, picking and delivering materials.
• Reconcile inventory, load discrepancies and packaging; maintain accurate records.
• Develop reports to facilitate accurate inventory counts.
• Search system to locate products and adjust records for discrepancies; suggest process improvements.
• Monitor inventory security and loss prevention programs.
• Perform quality assurance tasks including product testing and shipment inspection.
• Support process improvements to deliver excellent experience.
• Physical requirements include long periods of sitting/standing and lifting up to 50 pounds.

Job Description

As a Warehouse Associate at SmartRent, you will play a critical role in supporting our supply chain and inventory operations. You will be responsible for fulfilling online orders, preparing and shipping smart home hardware for field installation projects, and maintaining accurate inventory records to ensure seamless service delivery across our platform.

Responsibilities

• Ordering stock and fulfilling online orders via SmartRent's e-commerce store.
• Prep, re-package, and ship smart home hubs to field installation projects.
• Work cross-functionally with various supporting teams (such as Client Success, Accounting, Product Management, and Field Installation groups).
• Work with the Procurement Manager to determine purchasing needs and requirements.
• Perform safe operation of material handling equipment for the purpose of receiving, sorting, counting, picking, and delivering materials with accuracy.
• Assist in the reconciliation of inventory, load discrepancies and packaging.
• Maintain and update accurate records of assigned inventory.
• Standard inventory management procedures and develop necessary reports to facilitate accurate inventory counts.
• Conduct searches to locate products within the system and adjust records when there are discrepancies. Take steps to correct and prevent discrepancies and make recommendations for process improvements.
• Maintain security over inventory and in conjunction with management, monitor loss prevention programs.
• Perform quality assurance tasks, which include learning to test our products, inspecting shipments, and reporting any malfunctioning products to management.
• Encourage continuous process improvement to deliver an excellent experience every time, all the time.
• Physical requirements include sitting or standing in one position for a long period of time, up to 8 hours. Walking, standing, bending, reaching, lifting, moving or carrying objects that may weigh up to 50 pounds (e.g. boxes, pallets etc.)

Required Qualifications

• 2 years related experience and/or training in a warehouse environment
• Requires knowledge of and experience with inventory management procedures and general warehousing terminology and practices
• Experience and proficient in database management, analyzing and reporting data regarding inventory issues, results, trends, solutions
