Paradise Tomato Kitchen in Los Banos seeks a Warehouse Assistant Supervisor to lead daily warehouse operations and ensure safe, efficient practices.

Based at the Merced Warehouse, you will oversee inventory, shipping/receiving, and staff coordination, require 3+ years warehousing, Excel and Ross WMS proficiency, and forklift certification. Candidates must maintain accurate records and work across departments to meet delivery schedules.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree with three plus years’ experience in Warehousing, Receiving, Inventory Control, or Materials Management in a manufacturing environment; or equivalent.
• Ability to communicate effectively with others orally or in writing.
• Must have experience in Microsoft Excel and Ross WMS system.
• Must be familiar with the Food Safety Modernization Act when it comes to transporting goods both inbound and outbound.
• Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.
• Ability to make critical decisions while following company procedures.
• Strong knowledge of Receiving, Warehouse, and Material Handling operations, methods, and practices.
• Must be able to become certified and maintain certification through an OSHA approved forklift certification and as a First Responder

Responsabilités

• Ensures materials are stored properly to conserve space and comply with safety procedures, including the oversee of inventories within the warehouses.
• Review invoices, work orders, consumption reports, and demand forecasts to estimate peak delivery periods and to issue work assignments.
• Respond to customers' or shippers' questions and complaints regarding storage and distribution.
• Inspect physical conditions of warehouses, vehicles and equipment, and order testing, maintenance, repair, or replacement as necessary.
• Develop and document standard and emergency operating procedures for receiving, handling, storing, shipping, or salvaging products or materials.
• Monitors and measures Warehouse performance for accuracy of locator, receiving, reports, movement and storage of material and transfers.
• Examine shipment of contents and compare records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy.
• Requisition and store shipping materials and supplies to maintain inventory of stock.
• Prepare documents, such as work orders, bills of lading, or shipping orders, to route materials.
• Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, damages, or discrepancies, for reporting, accounting, or recordkeeping purposes.
• Confer or correspond with establishment representatives to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, or nonconformance to specifications.
• Contact carrier representatives to make arrangements or to issue instructions for shipping and delivery of materials.
• Supervise the ordering of railcars and release of railcars.
• Makes appointments for inbound and outbound loads.
• May need to load and unload trucks or railcars.
• Examine shipments of content and compare records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy.
• Supports inventory counts and adjustments.
• Supports train employees in the department, including new hires.
• Coordinate the packing process, provided the line is active.
• Facilitate the relocation of rail cars.
• Other duties as assigned.

SUMMARY:
