Wilsonart is seeking a Warehouse Assistant I to support replenishment of finished goods inventory, pick and pack customer orders, and ensure accurate material handling in the warehouse. The role demands attention to detail, safety awareness, and the ability to work with manufacturing partners.

Ideal candidates will have at least 1 year of warehousing experience, the ability to lift heavy items, and the skill to operate standard warehouse equipment.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Graduate or GED.
• Experience: 1+ years in warehousing or related field.
• Ability to lift heavy materials (>50 lbs) and operate a lift truck.
• Able to read and interpret customer orders and packing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Receives all material from manufacturing facilities and vendors.
• Checks and places materials in the correct bin.
• Checks material against the manifest and reports discrepancies.
• Informs supervisor of defective materials.
• Cuts down over-sized laminate to fill pending orders.
• Reads, interprets, processes and packs orders.
• Performs total skid count for loads.
• Assists the needs of the customer.

Job Description:

Position Overview: Warehouse Assistant I

I Performs warehousing functions to replenish the finished goods inventory with material from the manufacturing facilities. Fills customer orders, inspects material and packs material for shipment as needed in the assigned department/location. Performs other tasks as required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Receives all material from the manufacturing facilities and vendors
• Checks and places materials in the correct bin
• Checks material against the manifest and reports discrepancies
• Informs supervisor of defective materials
• Cuts down over-sized laminate to fill pending orders
• Reads, interprets, processes and packs orders
• Performs total skid count for loads
• Assists the needs of the customer

• Ability to learn computers sufficient to check inventories

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking/pushing/climbing and lifting material or equipment of heavy weight (>50 lbs)

Located in an environment with regular exposure to fumes or odors, temperature extremes, or loud noises which cause noticeable discomfort or moderate risk of accident or illness. Examples: engineering, waste mgt, laundry workers and yards/grounds staff
