Job summary

Arnoff Moving and Storage is seeking a Warehouse Assistant to support fulfillment and inventory tasks in Malta, NY. You will ship orders, run counts, and interact with customers to ensure smooth delivery.

The role offers a standard 8:00 am–5:00 pm schedule Monday–Friday with on-call weeks, on-call pay, and training on forklifts and pallet jacks. Prior warehouse software experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of warehouse experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted.
• Reliable transportation.
• Forklift or powered equipment experience.
• Previous experience with warehouse management software.

Responsibilities

• Pick, pack, and ship fulfillment orders accurately and within customer timelines.
• Unload inbound shipments and stock put-away using established procedures.
• Perform inventory counts and keep reports up to date.
• Keep the warehouse organized to customer standards.
• Communicate with customers by email and phone.
• Use company and customer warehouse software, handheld scanners, and barcode equipment.
• Operate forklifts and electric pallet jacks (we'll train you).

Arnoff Moving and Storage is looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Warehouse Assistant to support our customers' fulfillment operations. You'll be a key part of how they get their product out the door, and your work will make a visible difference to them.

About the on-call rotation

This role includes the opportunity to join our emergency fulfillment rotation, which covers Friday 5:00 pm through Monday 7:00 am. Rotations are one week at a time, currently one week out of every four, and you're paid extra during your on-call week. Emergency orders need to be filled within one hour of the call, and the weekly average is about 5 call-outs, so you'll need to live within a reasonable drive.

What you bring

• At least 1 year of warehouse experience
• A good safety record and strong organizational skills
• Basic math skills and comfort with email, spreadsheets and Microsoft Office
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
• Reliable transportation (required)

• Previous experience with warehouse management software
