Warehouse Assistant - Seasonal

Toledo Zoo & Aquarium

The Toledo Zoo & Aquarium has been fulfilling its mission of ensuring endangered species are maintained, researched and protected for over 100 years. As a SeasonalWarehouse Assistant, you would help to and ensure we have the resources available to ensure that our animals, representing over 720 species, are well cared for and that endangered species around the world are protected with our global conservation efforts.

This role will consist of handling deliveries, inspecting and stocking merchandise, managing inventory and preparing reports and records. You’ll also help maintain a clean and efficient warehouse, and interact with vendors, drivers, and team members. Being able to operate a variety of equipment, including but not limited to, trucks, forklift, stock ladders, computer, pallet lift and more is key. Whether it’s running errands, assisting with special events, or contributing to daily logistics, your attention to detail and strong work ethic will make a big impact.

This position is non-exempt position under the Fair Labor Standards Act.

Minimum Training & Qualifications:

• Work schedules may include weekdays, weekends, and could also include some holidays.
• Must have the physical ability to lift 45 pounds, work on your feet, and be able to walk the Zoo grounds for several hours at a time.
• Must be 21 years and older.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable by the fleet insurance carrier.
• The Toledo Zoo is a drug-free workplace, including marijuana.
