As a Warehouse Assistant at Rijk Zwaan USA, you will play a crucial role in supporting all warehouse activities to ensure efficient, accurate, and timely handling of seed products. What are the typical responsibilities for the Warehouse Assistant?

• Operations : Perform tasks including receiving, processing, and shipping products.
• Team Collaboration : Work collaboratively to develop strategies and operational policies aligned with company goals.
• Sales Support : Provide assistance to the internal sales department.
• Customer Service : Maintain and promote the highest standards of customer service.
• Operational Functions : Execute all necessary operational functions to support the warehouse team effectively and efficiently.
• Policy Adherence : Follow warehouse policies and procedures.
• Training : Attend third-party training sessions on relevant topics as needed.
• Maintenance : Ensure the upkeep of the warehouse and equipment.
• Delivery : Deliver seed orders to customers as required.
• Quality Control : Monitor quality data and update labels as necessary.
• Repackaging : Repackage products when needed.
• Seed Quality : Support seed quality control processes.
• Safety : Use personal protective equipment as required.
• Troubleshoot Shipping Issues :Identify and resolve problems related to shipping.
• Shipment Tracking - Domestic and International :Track shipments to ensure timely delivery both domestically and internationally.
• Manage Packing and Shipping Materials :Oversee the inventory and usage of packing and shipping materials.
• Coordinate and Track Inventory Disposals :Manage the disposal of inventory items and ensure accurate tracking.
• Additional Duties : Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Experience : Minimum of 3 years of warehouse experience; seed processing experience is strongly preferred.
• Skills : Forklift experience is advantageous; high-level computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Attributes : Team-oriented with excellent people skills; exceptional problem-solving abilities; flexibility and ability to multitask; strong attention to detail; organized and self-motivated.
• Physical Requirements : Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
