Job summary

Streimer Sheet Metal Works Inc. in Beaverton, Oregon is seeking a Warehouse Assistant to support Tool Room and Shipping Operations by preparing orders, unloading materials, and keeping the warehouse organized.

You will use ToolWatch, operate a forklift, and collaborate with production and delivery teams. The role requires safety focus, reliable communication, and the ability to stand most of the day.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift 35 lb daily.
• Ability to stand or walk 90% of shift.
• Familiarity with hand tools for general construction.
• Ability to operate forklifts.
• Strong communication with shop and field personnel.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to Tool Room for preparing orders for construction teams.
• Assist in checking tools in and out using ToolWatch tracking software.
• Help keep tool warehouse and storage sheds tidy and well organized.
• Act as customer service liaison for will‑call orders.
• Unload raw materials from delivery trucks.
• Place material in designated areas for manufacturing and notify production staff of arrival.
• Sort manufactured material into designated areas by job.
• Keep warehouse and yard clean and organized.
• Assist other shipping personnel as needed with loading outbound deliveries.
• Additional general maintenance duties as time allows to maintain a clean and professional work environment.

This position is primarily responsible for supporting our Tool Room and Shipping Operations by preparing orders for the field, unloading material for fabrication or delivery, and maintaining a neat and organized warehouse and shipping yard.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide support to Tool Room for preparing orders for construction teams
• Assist in checking tools in and out using ToolWatch tracking software
• Help keep tool warehouse and storage sheds tidy and well organized
• Act as customer service liaison for will‑call orders
• Unload raw materials from delivery trucks

Work Hours

This position’s normal work hours are approximately 7:00 am to 3:30 pm Monday through Friday, working approximately 40 hours per week.

Compensation:

• $22 to $24 / hour DOE.
